Inspire & Empower

Many years ago, I adopted the practice of choosing a "Word of the Year" a powerful personal tradition that transcends the often fleeting New Year's resolutions. It's a meaningful exercise that sets intentions and nurtures personal growth. The concept involves selecting a word or phrase that deeply resonates with you, steering your decisions and shaping your mindset for the forthcoming year.

This ritual has been pivotal in my life. Words such as 'Focus,' 'Consistency,' and 'Listen' have acted as my guides, subtly steering my daily choices and interactions. They serve as reminders to stay aligned with my goals, to be dependable, and to prioritize empathy in my interactions.

Yet, it was the words 'Inspire' and 'Empower' that truly encapsulated my real purpose, particularly following a year of attentive listening. These words evolved into my daily rhythm, a constant murmur encouraging me to inspire and empower women to claim their deserved place, to be audacious, forthright, and courageous, to voice their opinions, to assert their presence, to fulfill their dreams, to strive for their ambitions, and, most critically, to support one another in recognizing their worth.

Realizing the need for a physical reminder of these impactful words in my life, I joined forces with my daughter. With her adept integration of architecture and gemology, she crafted a significant piece of jewelry - a bracelet engraved with 'Inspire' and 'Empower,' enhanced by a Peridot gemstone, representing empathy and ingenuity. Since the spring of 2018, wearing it has become a daily ritual. Each touch of the cool Peridot and glance at the engraved words fortifies my dedication and serves as a perpetual cue for my mission.

This story of my bracelet is an open invitation for introspection. What are your guiding words? What mantra would you choose to lead you through the year? I encourage you to find words that resonate with your aspirations, serve as your anchor, and guide you toward fulfilling your goals and embodying your values. By sharing the story of this bracelet, I'm inviting you into my journey and asking you to understand my commitment and to hold me accountable.
